More than 10,000 people have purchased all the first six volumes of the "The Christians." If the same number buy each of the last six, this will cover the cost of producing them. However, the revenues from Volume 7 will not come in until the volume is finished and Volume 8 is well under way. This therefore means we must have sufficient money "up front" to cover the cost of producing Volumes 7 and 8.

The cost of producing and printing each volume is $450,000. That covers the planners, researchers, academic advisers, writers, editors, illustrators, art direction and design. About 45 people play some part in producing each volume. It also covers the cost of printing the initial 10,000 copies. So we need the cost of two volumes, $900,000, to get the work under way.

Much of this money must be found by way of donation. The project's sponsor, SEARCH (the Society to Explore and Record Christian History) have been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization, donations to which are tax deductible. SEARCH, (the Society to Explore and Record Christian History History) is also a registered Canadian charity. We have donee status which means individual donations are tax deductible.
